Post One for the techies...
I was cleaning my computer this weekend. I open the case to clean the "bit" of dust in it.

To my dismate, I notice that my AGP bus is 8X. SO I launch my video setting and notice it was at 4X.

I set it to 8X and it ask me to reboot. When I reboot, it come back to 4X.

I have install the latest video driver and make sure my video card is supporting 8X.

I am open to suggestions...

Don't be scared Ondra can tell how to update bios hehe. He has sucesfully burn 2 mobos in one week

Seriosly, if you mobo supports online update then go for it and update the bios. I did it many times and had no problems at all.

It is interesting problem you have. What is your video card. If you have bios set to automatic or 4x and set the agp speed in system it woun't record the change.

I got a ATI Radeon 9500.

I didn't check last night. Was lazy and end up in bed with my darling instead of working my video setting :) Life is not easy sometimes...

It is an Asus but can't tell you the exact model. I got it for around 2 years and never update my bios so it is probably why...
